About Olive Tree Promise

When you harvest
olives from your trees, never knock down all of them. Leave some for
foreigners, orphans, and widows.
The hope for Olive Tree Promise (OTP) is pretty simple. We bring vendors with a
heart for orphans and adoptive families who are raising funds together. Adoptive families get a unique
URL and are able to sell the vendors' products. The vendors give a portion
of their proceeds to the adoptive families. It is the ultimate expression of
the Gospel being lived out in today's world. For new Families and Vendors, you can sign up under each

Olive Tree Promise was named after the Scripture in the box to the
right. Our vendors are heeding God's advice as leaving "some" behind for the
orphan as they give profits to the adoptive families to help bring orphaned
child(ren) home to their family.. And the "Promise" part of it - well, we could be here all
day explaining God's promises to us. Let's just say for now that the promise we
can cling to is that we are all ADOPTED into God's family through the ultimate
sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us on the cross. Don't believe it? Take a
look at Ephesians 1:4-8:
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy
and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own
family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted
to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace
he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness
and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave
our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and
understanding.
Pretty amazing promise, wouldn't you say?!
As we talk to potential adoptive families, we have learned that the fear of the
unknown and the cost are the two main reasons why most families who have been
called to adopt hesitate moving forward. Unknown to many families are the many,
many ways to raise money for the adoption - adoption grants and no interest
loans, yard sales, fundraisers at restaurants, silent auctions, and yes, taking
on another job. The reality is that anything God calls us to is not
necessarily easy. However, He funds what He calls us to and Olive Tree Promise
is here to join you on your journey.
